How can I tell what version/model I have of the b2600i? I ask to figure out what I have to work with as a base.

93, 2wd extended cab 5spd. Has bed liner. Black door handles. One piece rear window. Had a color matched grille (untill the deer got in the way). Black bumpers. Gray interior. Teal colored, wheels are 14" and match body color. NO ac. Has center console for radio, but not between seats. Bucket seats (though drivers is flatter than plywood and you can feel the frame in it now). Goes 70 at 2700-2800 rpm, 75 is pushing 3k revs. When it runs well I can get up to 28 mpg.

Is it a le? se? what rearend gears? Is it some weird hybrid amalgation of parts?

I would say it is a se just based on your options.I know most se models have the decals indicating SE5.As for rear end ratio should be a 3.90 as pretty much most 2wd versions with a 5spd and or auto run this. You have lots of options to change and or add items from higher models with out too much headache.Ok

Black handles sounds like anything other than an lx5. What about window trim? Chrome or black? Same thing for along the bottom of exterior door windows, chrome or black? Do your door panels go up over the top of the doors, or does it stop about 2-3 inches below the window? What kind of rear bumper (if it has one)? A lot of this stuff, including stock graphics would help us tell you. mechanically between the engine, trans, and rear end, all 2wd 2600i's are pretty much the same. B2000/b2200 and the b2600 (mitsubishi g54b 2.6 carbed) are mechanically very different from the 2600i's.

Post up multiple pictures of your truck. Front, sides, rear, interior. Those will help us help you.

door panels go up to the window inside. All black window trim if I remember right, no decals on the truck, rear bumper has rubber mats on sides, and a hitch attachment instead of just a ball with trailer wires. Pics will take a few days, busy moving and it doesn't run until I finish moving and replace the head.
