Ok, the drivers side seatbelt retracter doesn't retract any more. the spring broke. I've called all over the US looking for one, and can't find one. Even Mazda only yards say they don't have one. Is it a liability thing? Not available new either. Does anyone know if another sealtbelt will interchange? I'm going to try swapping the passenger one to the drivers side. I guess I'll try and adapt a spring from something else to fix it. Anybody else have this problem, or a fix? Thanks Dean

Just make sure to get both parts, the belt part and the latch part. There can be differences between years, and between regular cab and Cab Plus also.

Or consider an aftermarket belt assembly search google.

If I were u I would just got to a jy and pull a seat belt from a car truck or such ect... That isn't attached to the seat and figure/fab a way to mount it in urs... Or get a pair of bucket seats out of something with them attached and bolt them in. I hear dodge neon seats are almost completely bolt in and scrap yards are full of them or find an older car and just grab the lap belts for now...

Careful, a lap belt alone is NOT legal if your vehicle came factory equipped with a shoulder belt.

I know I know but it's better than nothing...

Thanks Cusser, I hadn't thought about the latch being different. My plan was to use my belt on the replacement ratchet assembly. I can't believe that with all these trucks out there that I can't find a belt. Not many of them in the mid west where I am, but I use to see them all the time in CA.
fdugn545, My next step is to go to the junk yard and see what I can come up with. I'm going to try putting the passenger side belt on the drivers side. Nobody ever rides with me anyway. At least I can drive it around legally if that works. Thanks, Dean

The yard 75 miles away from me does sell seatbelts. The toughest part is removing/bending/breaking the panel to get access.

or see Google search, like for B2000 seat belts

Damn JCWhitney is expensive. Is it that hard to find seatbelts in other places? Thats the one thing ive seen at every Junkyard in every b-series ive seen.

What color, year, and cab configuration do you have. A pic of the latch and buckle is even better.
