Hi everyone. New here.
I have an 87 b2k with turn signal issues. The switches are fine as well as the electrical components, but the housing is dry rotted so the levers kinda just hang there. My question is; do need a special tool to remove it or am I missing something? I took off my wheel, but I cant figure out how to remove the unit.
Correct me if im wrong, but do I need a wheel puller to remove the part where the wheel attatches to?

Any advice will help, thanks.

Nope. If you got the wheel off, you've done the hardest part. Unplug the wire harnesses. Look for the little screw that tightens a clamp on the bottom side of the combination switch. It will point towards your left knee. You need to loosen that a lot. Don't have to take it off completely, but you need so loosen it a fair amount compared to a traditional clamp. Once you've loosened it, reach to the top, back of the combination switch...just over the column. There will be a little tab there. Gently pull it up and then the entire combination switch should slide right off.

Whenever you put it back on, that tab will snap back in place and loosely lock the combo switch back on to the column. It will be secure enough that it's easy to forget to tighten the clamp. So don't forget the clamp.
