help with z'd frame

I will soon be doing a 4 inch z in my frame I figure if I'm doing that might as well go ahead and build a new frame from there back my ? Is has anybody used 3\8 2x2 tubing and what kind of results u got is it too flimsey or would I be good with it I want to use the 2x2 so I can get the most out of the z this will be my first big build

Ive never went that small. I like 2x3 for minis

Why do you need 3/8? You aren't building a tractor.
1/8 should do okay with some fish plates.

Yeah I understand that just figured if I went with2x2 it would need to be a lil thicker

1/4" at most. 3/8" is crazy thick. U got a welder that can weld that?

My uncle does but I think I'm gonna take your advice and do the 2x3

Ok Thanks I appreciate the help I have quite a few friends with minis but they all have traditional bd's so they weren't a big help with this
