So, this mornig I was headed out to the car wash, got everything but my chrome door handles installed that i ordered. on the way I stopped to get gas. turning out and going down the road someone on their cell phone pulled out i mean 10-12 feet infront of me, instinct was just smack them and teach them their lesson, but a flash of " Hey imagine getting parts. " flitted through and i locked my truck up well, downshifted into second ( only goin 25-30) yeah lil but oh well no problems from it. worst part of all is after all this they still haven't even looked my way. but lo an behold KARMAAAA. a cop was coming from the other way and seen it all. I hope whomever it may have been i dearly hope you have a very fat ticket and no insurance so they tow your car.

Second offense coming from the car wash i almost get rear ended at a red light by a big ole f-250 that probably would rode up in my bed and smacked my cab. i just sat there n said oh shit here it goes lol. but he stopped but barely maybe 2 more feet i'd been sliding around. So I just wnna know why you idiots can't see a bright red truck or a bright green tailgate, really people DERP MUCH just go back home sell your car nd buy a bicycle.

I see that kind of stuff all the time, almost killed some bike riders only a few days apart.

First, was woman riding on street against traffic flow at night, and no light. I had pulled up at the stop sign to turn right, and as she was barreling towards me maybe she thought (if she COULD think) that I could possibly see her. Now, my headlights happen to point forward, so no way I could see her approaching, and especially riding the worng direction. Luckily - for her - Mrs. Cusser caught sight of the rider and screamed, just as I had started my turn. So the rider had two moving violations: no light at night, and traveling opposite the designated direction of traffic. But dead would still be dead.

36 hours later on the way to work, a kid never slows down and goes straight through a 4-way stop sign as I was making a right turn. I expect that he figured that since he was running late for school, that I should yield to him and figure that he may run the stop sign. Well, that shook me up a little, so 5 seconds later when his buddy following him also ran the 4-way stop, I was mostly expecting that.

Tuesday, going home from work, was more of a psychology experiment scenario. I heard a roaring noise as I was stopping for a red light, turns out this guy in a fancy Firebird had a special exhaust or no exhaust, so his car made a ton of exhaust noise, more than loud motocycles. This guy went slower than limit, then gunned it, guess he liked to hear the noise. he did this several times, never went over 5 mph over the speed limit, yet hung back so he could rev the engine to hear the exhaust. Just plain weird.

Wow, yeah bikers are the worst imo, they should be required to wear vests that glow like officers and public workers do on sides of the road. but then again they should pay attention more themselves. I've personally seen a few very bad bike wrecks, some the bikers others idiots not looking for bikers. but still in the end its just people getting to comfortable with everyday routines and just wasting away in the flow not paying more attention than the man in the moon. As for the Firebird, well mayhaps he had just gotten his exhaust put on and wanted to test it out lol.

I taught my kids to ride like I ride: assume that NO DRIVER EVER sees you. EVER.

I'm always amazed that many bike riders are very vocal about their rights to share the road, then they cross the street when traffic light is red, ignore stop signs, etc....

Well this weeks fun.I drive a tractor trlr and as I approach a exit for traffic coming onto the road(interstate) I am already in the left of the 2 right lanes (4lane deal) and another big truck is almost to the merge point signal ON and this super dumb a-- comes flying up in the right lane doing I kid you not 75 easy. This car was seriously almost sandwiched between me and the other merging big truck!!! I let off the go pedal and just could not believe this clown did this.He was just in big az hurry and then changed lanes 3 times in less a 1 tenth of a mile doing his warped speed.I just can't begin to figure that one out.The other truck was about to change lanes from the exit to the right lane stupid close is understatement.I see more bs driving than I care to share.I also have been trucking for 12 years.I daycab it and home daily!

As for bikers, I have been on both sides. In Lexington, KY, the traffic there became so terrible, I would ride on the sidewalks. (Although then you get the pedestrians yelling, "There's a road!") Lately I've been seeing MANY bikers in the Louisville, KY area failing to realize biking against traffic is an extremely bad idea.

Back in Lexington, I was riding IN A BIKE LANE and the light was green. Car to my left decided to turn right and didn't even look. I swerved to miss (only by a couple of inches did I miss smashing my handlebars into their rear window) and landed in someone's yard at the corner. As I laid on the ground, I saw them looking at me and using what appeared to be many four letter words...

Down the same road a little further, I was driving home in my Grand Am. This road is wide, 3 or 4 lanes both ways, IIRC. As I approach red lights, I always watch my mirrors to ensure I don't get smacked in the back. I see in the lane to my right a lady who made no apparent effort to slow down. Sure enough, light has been red for a good five seconds, traffic's flowing, and I never saw a brake light. Her guardian angel was putting in overtime because she somehow barreled right between a few cars without a scratch.

Here in Louisville, traffic has become irrational at best. I-65 becomes a parking lot between 4 - 5 pm because no one knows how to properly freaking merge. My biggest pet peeve is someone sliding in where I'm leaving space due to stop and go traffic. Because of someone pulling this stunt, my B2000 got a black eye (and a new radiator). I was following behind a truck with 3 ft of iron pole sticking out, so I was leaving a few extra feet of room. This f#@$ing blazing dumb@$$ decides to merge directly in front of me AT THE SAME TIME EVERYONE IS BRAKING! The lawsuit (not started by me, either!) is still pending...

I gotta stop. My blood's boiling.

Out here, there's also a ton of frustration by traffic lights not being timed, plus the terrible heat makes tempers flare. I have 7 mile commute to work, takes 20 minutes.

I have about 10 traffic lights coming home, and if I hit TWO at green, that's typical. In fact, leaving work, I HAVE TO hit the first three traffic lights as red, just the way it's set up. If I take the alternate route, I have a long severe uphill ramp with alternating red lights just to reach the freeway (which I can take for 2 miles). But I don't think inching forward on an uphill ramp every day is too good for my B2200 clutch. And after reaching the freeway, traffic is under 10 mph because so many are trying to merge in at that VERY crowded intersection.

In fact, when I first heard about employer building on this site, I literally rolled my eyes because it was already the most crowded/gridlocked intersection in the city, and I doubt that adding 600 employees at that corner helped things....

Wow damn man I feel for ya there, when my father was in the marines i lived in Oceanside, i've seen Marines be late for work just cause of traffic flow into the gate. But that is just ridiculous city managers and planers don't think of the little people when they buld an add on anywhere.

Currently my small town of about MAYBE 6k people is undergoing a huge construction deal. They're building a ramp over our central trainyard to the freeyway, which should been done in the first place it's only quick means from one side of town to the other, over the tracks, and csx dont give a shit i've seen their trains stop for hours in middle of the crossing an have seen peoples homes burn down and people die due to this, csx had a heavy lawsuit in our town and finally is funding the bridge across their tracks.

50+ homes burnt down and many deaths later though. and all because they don't think to pull their engines and freight all the way into the yard ( which had been expanded for this reason) But now during morning school traffic and school traffic letting out, i sat yesterday ( luckily just filled up) for AN HOUR at a left turn, finally getting feed up with it i jumped out of my spot sideways pissed as hell cutting off traffic from both lanes frick it hit me, should have cops directing you idiots anyways. just ohhhh irks me to no ends i mean literally, traffic would stop cutting my intersection off completely. if i'd had a brushguard on my B or been in my ford, people would have been pissed, i'd start pushing idiots out of my way. just because no one in this world has common courtesy or sense anymore ( no offense to you guys lol )

But just I mean come the frick on people really? you see me sitting here with my signal traffic stopped infront of and in other lane, yet both lanes block my road? ohhh i could have whupped some ass sitting at that intersection for an hour, but like i said i just romped into my lil b, kicked up some smoke and rubber and jumped out, much to my happiness many brakes locked up and may have even caused a fender bender but oh well fuckers learn be polite and not ride ass lol.
