I sold my B2200 about 2 years ago and I'm wanting another B. I found a B2600i but it doesn't have a motor. What problems will I run into if I put 2200 engine in it? How hard is it to find a 2600i engine and tranny? Thanks in advance for the help guys.

You'd need at least a B2600i transmission. Maybe more, not a bolt-in. Best bet would be B2600i engine for it....wonder if someone sold its engine because its computer was bad...

No, the guy had it rebuilt and it was on a stand in his carport and someone stole it. Where's a good place to look for one. Nobody around here has one.

it shouldn't be to hard, if worried about the 2.2 mating or matching well with the 2600i tranny. I have a 5 speed B2200 tranny for sell very reasonable. but shipping would be the killer. just throwing ya that out there.

Happytealmazda has proven that a B2600i tranny will bolt up to a 2.2 block. Jim is in the process of starting a turbo 4x4 truck build, similar to his teal turbo truck but this one will be a B2600i 4x4 with a 2.2 turbo engine.

The hardest part though will be the engine mounts, wiring, exhaust mods, etc.

It can be done but it will take some work.

But yes, the easiest way would be to find another 2.6 G6 engine.
