running issue please help

engine starts and stalls but will run with mass air unplugged 92 b2200 fuel injected

replace the mass air flow obviously. if that's unplugged and it run right there is your problem why ask?

ok i have a spare mass air that i tried and it also does the same thing with that any other thoughts

Maybe an ecu issue? Or maybe wiring problems? Idk I have a carbed truck.

ok heres some more info i scanned my truck last night and it spit out a code 17 any help would be much appreciated

Here is a thread that has a lot of info on bad ECM and repars...

The thread says 2.6 but it is the same issue with the 2.2



I would pull the ECM out and open it up to see if there are any leaking capacitors, its almost a guarantee that there will be corrosion from capacitor acid.

I have a 92 2.2 EFI also. I'm pretty sure my hesitation when its cold is from the ECM too. Haven't checked though, take some pics of it and Good luck!
