Hey guys. I recently installed a weber 32/36 DGEV carb on my 87 standard B2000 and was wondering what kind of performance everyone else was getting. I'm looking at a 17-18 second 0-60 time. Is that about the same as you guys or should I be getting more performance?

I know these trucks aren't made for acceleration but that still seems slow to me.

Post your times and, if faster, what your carbs tuned at and any other engine modifications.

Thanks!

I get 15-16 times in my B2200. We're talkin' minutes here, correct?

I'm thinking of installing a mast and sail in the bed of my truck and then praying for tail winds.

Wow i have a 2200 motor with a weber and the best time my buddy recorded was 13.5 0-60, i think a cam is going to help it alot more in the higher rpms though, these motors lack alot of top end power.

My 87 B2000 usually took a minute and a half, but occasionally it would do it in 90 seconds.

Sounds about right before I rebuilt mine and put the header on it and weber. Hahaha try installing a wing they add a minimum of 25 horse power.
