Radio location?

Has anyone moved thier radio from the bottom plastic piece to that pocket under the heater controls? I was hoping to clean the floor up and since mines all broke.

I've seen photos of that; but easier to buy a new/used floor console for the stereo. There are install kits too with plastic inserts.

You can install it up there you'll need to "heat" the plastic air duct behind the pocket (below the air controls) and reform it to allow a radio to fit. Some have simply heated it and pushed it in with a 2x4 to form it.

I personally wouldn't do it, some have, because they made the ducts that size for a reason.
