Generic Electronic Module issue

Hey guys,

New to the board and I'm trying to see what I can find out about the GEM module. Shop thinks this could be my issue, wipers not turning on (fuses, relay and motor all tested fine) and auto windows not working. Can't pass inspection without functioning wipers, so I have to get it figured out.

I have a 2002 B3000 DS 4x2 and I'm trying to see where I can find a replacement and what compatibility might be with other years or ford vehicles (ranger/explorers, etc).

Most of us on here run pre-93 Mazda's. You might want to join a Ranger board. They will have more info for you.

96 and up Ford Ranger should fit too but to be safe I would stick with 02 and up Mazda or Ranger parts.

I believe the circuit that powers the wipers also powers your gauge lights, running lights and radio too, I'm guessing all of those work.

How did you test the motor, and is the shop doing all of this testing for you?

Thanks guys. Shop ran a charge to the wiper motor and it worked. Speedometer also isn't working as of now as well.
