This is for the Australian members. I need a list of the Year/Make/Models of all the double cabs that are in the US/Canadian 86-93 body styles. I know the one ins the Bravo but I don't know what years they were made etc. Thank you very much in advance.

Dont forget the ford courier

I found these so far:

1986-1998

Ford Courier
Ford Marathon
Mazda Bravo
Mazda Fighter
Mazda Magnum

There is a place in Toronto that imports from Japan. Going to see what they can get there. I believe last time I checked it was around $6000-$10000 for an suv delivered with all the paperwork done.

I've found in multiple sources... Mazda Bounty (New Zealand), Mazda Magnum / Thunder / Fighter (Thailand), and Mazda Drifter (South Africa), Proceed (Japan)... might be cheaper to get one from South Africa... Hope that helps.

Ahhhhh ...... the proceed, thats the one I forgot about. The company I am speaking with gets 95% of their vehicles from Japan so that one will be helpful. For the price its way worth buying the whole truck with a title. If it comes all in under $8000 I am pretty sure I am going to do it. Best thing about the ones from japan is that they usually have under 100 000 kms or 60 000 miles.

How you gonna register it?

What about corrosion, Japan is surrounded by saltwater.

Its just registered as whatever it is. As long as it meets MTO requirements, which usually means only changing it to have daytime running lights. RHD as fully legal here and insured with no problems.

Now importing a vehicle into Canada with air ride is totally different .... wouldn't even bother as they will not register it. Pretty much has to be stock when it comes into the country. Then you can go crazy until the MTO pulls you over. They are really strict here. If you have air ride and they can see scrub marks in your wheel wells ... plates are gone. Can lay frame (and they see it on the road .... plates are gone. And that's with the hood closed. Lol, I don't even want to think of what running a Webber carb would cost in fines when you block off hoses and delete emissions equipment.

Their cars are actually really clean. The underside of a mid 90's vehicle looks like a 2014 of ours. Its just like California with salt water all along the west coast.

Go to and punch in "Mazda" into the search.

Your face will melt off from the shear awesomeness.
