I was given a 1992 or 93 Mazda B2200. The engine is done. But i want to go a lil bit bigger. Do any of you guys have any suggestions. I want a V6. And what type of engine will fit?

Going from memory and things read on here and Mazda Trucking.com

mid 80s Kia engines will fit (4cyl) - bolt in
All years of 2.6i Mazda engines fit (obviously)
Ford Probe Turbo setup
A number of V6s will fit - almost any GM or Ford (fabrication required)
A few V8s will fit - usually Ford (fabrication required)

Some have also swapped in a Diesel but I can' find that thread...

Allow me to make a correction for Dan.
1995 to 2002 Kia Sportage engine is a direct bolt-in.

A 4.3 liter GM V6 would be an ideal swap if you have your heart set on a V6.
Having done a GM V8 swap myself, I recommend an overdrive transmission. 2004R or 700R4, if you choose to go automatic.

Thanks SinCityLocal, I was thinking of a conversation I had with HappyTealMazda about EFI swap parts...

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the 2.6 have completely different engine mounts, bell housing, and the transmission is of a beefier design and therefore totally different, along with the drive shaft and rear axle, which is all similar to the 3.0L V6 Mazda motor in the MPV, making the 3.0L V6 just as difficult as a 2.6 swap. (only difference being wiring).

Yes, the mounts are different.
I've done the B2600i swap, so it does fit!
