Ok so i just learned to drive standar. Not to long ago, is it normal for the center of the cabin( for example below the shiftknob) to get really warm and hot at times?

It's normal for the lower part of the shift selector to get warm after a fair amount of driving, but not hot.
Any chance your heater is blowing out warm air?

Thanks, & no ac is off and no air is coming out, so i think thats a good thing.
Bt i was also noticing that when i accelarate i can hear exhaust coming from the bottom of the cabin, You think this can be an exhaust leak?

I had the same issue when my engine was not running perfectly/clogged exhaust. I had an enormous amount of heat being generated and passing into the cabin at the transmission hump. Check your timing and exhaust for blockage. You can also check your plugs to see if the truck is running lean...

Some people have different views on what warm and hot are, but my shifter gets warm, I would guess in the 40-50 Celsius range. The shifter is directly connected to the transmission, which is directly connected to the motor, and is down wind of all of it, so the hot air from the radiator, engine, etc, will be passing by. It also depends on what driving you are doing, city driving will make the shifter hotter due to less air movement, leading to more heat soak. But if it is a new truck to you, the above checks would be good to see how it is running and everything.

Is your shifter boot in good condition, and fitted correctly? What about the the extra boot underneath? As old as our trucks are, the inner boot is surely toast.
