Need for speed:pro street

Anybody else buy this game? I got it for PS2 last friday and only have played it a few hours, but this is definitely the best need for speed so far. Its got the racing like in Gran Turismo games but with many different kinds of aftermarket parts that you can choose from to build your car. The drag racing and drifting mode are pretty awesome too.

forza, imo is still what i've liked most, more so than gran turismo.

gran turismo is awesome, no doubt, but i also like that in forza, not every car sounds the same, and you can do A LOT more aftermarket modifications in forza, which catches me along with the great simulation.

pro street has good modifications while keeping the game fun, but one down side is, some times it is fun to just drive around in the city, which you can't do in this version.

although, I do like the fact they finally brought in a few more older imports instead of exotics, and the drag racing is fun

Oddly, I completed nearly every single Need For Speed since the Playstation version. I really didn't like Carbon, and since I started playing Burnout, everything else is Blah. I did like NFS Underground and Underground 2 pretty well. Maybe I'll try this one, but you say you can't just ride around town? Hmmm

Yah theres no driving around town. All the racing is on tracks now.

I rented it last weekend,played it about 3 hours and got bored of doing the exact same thing over and over and over again. That game has no variety,it's just the same sequence of events in different settings. Needless to say I took it back the same day and bought NHL 08 and a couple of Burnout games instead,lol.

I have Carbon,I like that one,the gameplay is fun and the cop chases are fun,but I think that Underground 2 is still the best of the best when it comes to the NFS series.
