My first club was California Cruizers. We are having a reunion of sorts in November. It was a fun time and I can't wait to see some of the old members. When I joined we had over a hundred vehicles. It was very intimidating club to pledge. I joined the club, because at the time they were the winningest show club around. In fighting caused a spin off of three clubs, the most note worthy being Relaxed Atmosphere. I was invited to the inital meeting and after decided to stay with Cal Cruisers. Finally, after about ten years, it just kind of fizzled out for me. I was president at the time and decided to fold the club. The remaining members moved with me to Fleetwood, which we had considered our brother club. BTW Cal Cruizers is still around. About two years after I folded the club, my former vice president re-formed it and it is still going.
I have been a member of Fleetwood Truckers So. Cal (est.1978), for over ten years. After I left CC, I decided to become an OG and roll with the oldest mini-truck club around. These were the guys I looked up to when I was a kid, gold leaf windows and all...lol.
