I know crispy burned up. Sucks. Body bag didn't make it back because simply there was much more requests for lifted trucks, off road stuff, and speed modifications were better recieved.
For the person who is footing the bill, it's a VERY big risk financially. I know how ratings and production costs work. You have to consider both sides. Comparing a tech based show to an infomercial is apples to oranges. One had an instant pay off, the other will rely on ratings, sponsors who feel it worth their time and money to pay to feature their products both in the show and on commercial spots.
They covered the basics: shaving handles, door popper set up, raising a bed floor, c notching and paint. Most home guys won't attempt more than a two tone paint job, not to mention they've done several episodes prior that went in further in to painting. What do you want them to do, show you how to paint a 90's paint job? They are much too complicated for 98% of diy-ers and it's a long process making for very boring tv to the masses.
