this week has been a little weird, i work at a car and truck accessories store, installing everything you can put a car or truck
we all have to park out in the corner of the parking lot to leave all the good spots for customers, usually the daily is jammed in the corner so i dont get the odd door ding or careless person backing into me ( its happened before)

every once in a while we get a customer coming in to the shop asking about my truck, usually old guys asking about the wheels and tires, even had some dude we call smelly santa go home and to the same to his blazer
but this week we had and old guy show up asking for the owner of the truck, so one of the sales guys come out back saying someone wants to talk to me, so i walk out front and ask whats up, he asked me if i was looking for parts for my truck, i said im always looking, whatcha got? well he said he has a complete truck with rotted frame, and a garage full of parts from 2 other mazdas he had, like bumpers tailgates interiors, new head, and a bunch of stuff and he wants almost nothing for it all, so i took his number and said ill call him and go have a look what he has,
im a little excited

then yesterday another guy comes asking for the owner of the mazda out front so i walk out of the back and he asked " is that your lowrider parked out front, i responded with " well i wouldnt call it a lowrider, its a minitruck, lowriders are old chevs with spokes and old leaf paint, he laughed, and said he has 2 mazda b2200's he wants to sell 1 is a 93 ext cab and other is a 92 std cab both run with lots of new parts on it, and wanted 1000$ for both, so i got his number and said i will call him to have a look, as he was leaving i said to him " heres a little bit of info for ya, people with small lowered pick ups dont like to be called lowriders, we like to call them minitrucks and we are mini truckers, stopped, looked up and thought about it for a sec and said good point and makes sense

well i want them both, i dont know why, its an addiction, and finding mazda's in my area are getting scares, and parts are harder, thats why i want it all, but the wife wont approve of this, i do have my gray one in pieces in the garage but i want something different, maybe make a little money off of them who knows

anyways, that was my week at work

I'm looking for another one right now and can't find one. If you don't get them both let me know. I am just across the border from you in Buffalo.

I know this feeling. Since I got my new B I have come across several trucks for sale or people with parts trucks. I am always on the look out for more parts and trucks. This has fastly become an addiction again. now i'm looking for a new place with more garage space and bigger yard.

I know this feeling too, but with me it's vintage Japanese motorcycles. I've got 4 already in my garage, but if another one comes up I can't resist looking (and often buying). Since I got my B last June, I find I am looking at little Mazda trucks the same way, and spotting them all over town abandoned in front yards or back street repair shops. I must be addicted!

There's one the same age as mine a mile away from my house that looks abandoned and in need of some TLC....will I go and ask if it's for sale and has a Title? Yeah, probably ! Do I need another truck/project? Nope. But it won't stop me.

You should build yourself an extended cab long bed out of one of them.

i am going to take a look at the parts on tuesday, then if the price is right then ill pick up maybe everything
i was at my friends/mangers place today and the story came up in conversation, he said i can store the trucks at work in the compound out back and work on them after hours at work, im pretty pumped, thinking im going to fix them to be safe for the road and sell them, maybe keep one as a back up, for when the daily goes under the knife
