That's all I wanted to say.

It appears, as I've seen, to be a rampant issue that people think "defiantly" means "definitely," much worse than typical homonym issues (your != you're).

This is apparently a trend and it's not funny; it's just plain ignorant. Even Hooked On Phonics can tell you "defiantly" isn't "definitely."

i suspect cell phone auto correct is likely the culprit for many... but yes, today's generation may not see the difference between the two words at all... they are seemingly very smrt

You mean like using there, their, they're in a sentence? In grade school spelling, grammar, word meaning and pronunciation were enforced.

But now it's all spell check, windows word documents, online dictionary.

Then came "texting" and I saw an add for safe driving on some new cars. It's called voice texting, it converts to your spoken message into text then it sends it. What is that? To make the person receiving your text think you have the fastest bad-ass texting fingers/thumbs?

How about what a group of kids that sit next to each other and text each other? Maybe none of them brushed and rinsed their mouths with Listerine? Maybe our next generation will be reading other peoples minds? There goes technology...

Enough from me, I guess I'm just an old fart, like a 56 Chevy Nomad!!

I really hate when certain type of people unanimously misuse the word, "they" in a sentence.

As in, "that is they car", when they should say, "that is their car".

I would just about bet Prez 0 is guilty of this as well.

haha good rant. I used to forget how to spell definitely (sometimes still do) so i would just say for sure lol. I'm definitely (< ) guilty of misusing your, but it seems weird as you're sometimes.
