No Cusser! Not what your thinking!

Here's what we're getting down here in N. Florida! It has been raining all day and last night and we still have at least another day of this.........maybe the drought is over now?

Not much change.......this thing is hanging around........could get up to 12" of rain here.......under flood warnings until tonight at 8:00 pm......

You don't see 100% chance of rain too much!

I know we could use it up here. Hope it doesn't flood for you Earl er Cliff!

Ha Ha! Thanks Baha! Nah, I'm high and dry (well, not dry really!) here.....the rains soak in good on my property, it is good and sandy here in my area, but there are some hilly areas to the west of me (3-5 miles) and they have high amounts of clay and therefore will hold the water and flood. There is a golf course (and a neighborhood) that is probably flooding out there right now!

Here's what it looked like the last time it flooded out there......on the right of the road, it's probably 15' deep there!

The ground dips there.......whatever hole that is on the golf course.......it's way under water!

Well... Vegas has been in a drought for more than 12 years now.
Our water district has lowered the water inlet at Lake Mead for municipal supply twice and is currently working on a third inlet.
Down 132 feet from normal, Lake Mead hasn't been this low since it was first being filled in 1937.

Needless to say, we could use some rain here!

You should have used more nails Earl.

We are in the midst of a unofficial drought. It has not rained here for over a month (any significant rain) and the pond here at work is two feet low. My own fish pond needed to be topped off two or three times already this year when it is usually overflowing into the yard!!!

Earl, on MT you said my lawn was lush, you should see it now - burnt to a crisp!!

Fishing last week was hard because the water was so low we almost couldn't launch the boat!!!

I bet there are less fish next year because some fish nests are being exposed to the sun or in very shallow water where it's too hot for the eggs!!!
