Anyone Got CB Radio?

Hey All,

I've recently gotten into the hobby of tinkering around with CB radio.

Wanted to ask if any of you all were into that, and if so what channels you use, where about you might be, and when you might be on,


I camp out on ch##33, nice and clear here in Cleveland ohio.

so are you on CB alot?

I've got a CB radio I was looking to get rid of, do you think it's something I should keep on hand in case of a natural disaster?

I know nothing about CB radios so I'm sure this is a dumb question.

I got a CB radio. An old cobra. Gonna install it into my truck. It will work but just gonna be for show. And you can hook a pa up through mine.

Eh, they're pretty much useless. At the point at which you would need something like that to call someone, you'd probably be in deep S*** anyway.

CB is pretty much only good for clownin' around, pointificating with truckers and other CBers, nothing more and nothing less.

At the same rate though, its pretty fun to get in to, great for road trips, so why not keep it instead of getting the 20 bucks?

What model radio is it?

Not anymore... But I grew up in the 70's when owning a CB radio, ment you had to be licensed. It was called a GRS License, and it was about $15 p/yr

This topic was over on MT not too long ago. I rarely use mine to connect with others via channels, I do have an antennae hooked up though.

Mine is a Cobra with a PA connection. I mainly use mine to screw with people in the drive throughs 5 min after closing. I park behind the drive through speaker and take orders and give them outrageous prices and repeat the wrong order back to them in a thick accent. I had a group of drunks wait at the drive through window for 25 minutes after being okay with a "$200" fast food bill. I even had the DD fooled, haha! Just be ready to smash out of there, through some back roads if they catch on to you. Hungry people are angry when they don't get their food. XD

A cobra can be a good radio. I have a couple of Cobra 29 classic XLs. My personal favorite radio is the Connex 3400HP that I have. Not only is it loud, but the face lights up and I can change the colors on it if I want. I thought I had I few pics of it, but I guess I had deleted them when I got a new phone. Still a cool radio.
