Thanks to Mazdabscene.com and those that have helped me through some projects on my '87 B2000 daily driver. Since I bought my mazda back in August, I have broke out my tool box, warmed up my welder and starting to open my garage door more often. I know some of yall share your build time with family or friends and sometimes take it for granted. My project back in the day was my '76 c10 that my Dad and I was in the process of building before he passed in 2004. It has sat in storage for five years now but since august and the purchase of my Mazda, I have really felt the desire to work on it again. Here is a picture of it, after we trailered to the storage building where its now sitting.

Its already bagged but Im sure the bags are dry rotted, knotched and fourlinked in the rear to lay out on some huge Mickey Thompsons. Its got a fresh built 350 in it with a turbo 400. I got a whole new interior sitting in boxes... The list can go on!!! Im considering to update the look but then again the phantom dually look is what we were after to begin with.... Maybe I throw some big wheels and get with Grant Kustoms to make me some one off fenders.

Thanks again BSCENE!!!!

Thanks guys and Im loading up the tool box in the truck and heading to the storage building this week to see where Im at with getting it going again... We bagged the truck in the front using stock control arms and 2600 lbs bags. The rear is a traditional triangualted fourlink that has a monster of a notch in it. I have drop spindles in the box waiting to go on the truck that should bring it down more. The picture was taken with the suspension blocked up with 2x4s The motor is a beefed up 350, we had it in my brothers c10 for about 200 miles before we swapped motors. I had a bad ass 454 motor in my truck but I wanted to go with bags and didn't want the headaches of have to tell myself to keep my foot out of the gas. Anyways, I know the picture doesn't due to much justice but its crazy how much brand new stuff I have with it to make a really nice head turner...

Anyone know what is the widest streetable tire they make? I really would like to lay it out at least on the rockers but I know the rear fenders are going to be a pain to work around. Right now i got 33x21.5x15 tires, I can still trim more out of the wheel wells but Im gonna have to run a spacer underneath the bag to keep the tire off of the fender. Im liking the solid billet, any idea?

Sorry to hear about your loss man. Like Andrew said, definitely need to finish it to honor him. I love these old square body duallies. I wish you were closer man, I would love to help you work on it when I get back home, North DFW Area is a little bit of a drive though. hahaha. And you are right about this site, if nothing else can get you motivated, this site can.

cut your rear fender tops and raise them up, and basically anti section them. i dunno about the widest tire, but 21.5 is pretty DAMN wide

yeah but they are 33 inches tall.... so if i lower the profile a liitle then the fenders wouldn't be such a problem... Hopefully Im going to install my spindles and check the front bags this week. Im thinking Im gonna have to buy new bags for it since they are a few years old.

old bags never hurt anything. mine are going on 8 years old.

8 years?
I heard a rumour about the slam specialties dry rotting, is it true?
Thats what I have, been building the truck for a few years now and I dont want to install unsafe bags, they been here for 2 years truck not on the road yet though.

depends on the condition they were kept in. a bag left in the sun its whole life is obviously going to be deteriorated more than a bag kept in the garage u know what i mean? mine were outside undermy truck, going up and down in the spring, summer, fall and winter for a lot of years. the only reason i replaced my front bags is because i wanted RE7's up front instead of the smaller 6" airlift bag, but they're still good bags, still on my shelf.
