Ok guys, I gotta write a compare&contrast paper for English on this topic...lets see what you guys gotta say! I need all the views and opinions I can get! THANKS GUYS!

also..i need long answers, lol, i know of course everyone will say BAGS but i need some bad aspects also...and some good things static has over bags(whatever they are). Thanks!

Well first static over bags.. uhhhhh nothing
j/k there are a few advantages to static drops. They are much bouncier.. so if you get a hot chick with some good size knockers ridding in your passengers seat! BAM! Also there is a little bit more reliability in a good static drop.. never have to worry about broken compressors or leaks or whatever.
There are even more negative aspects to static drops compared to bags. Man Hole covers, trash in the street, uneven pavement, pretty much anything that makes your butt hole pucker when you skim over the top of it.. you can lift over w/ most bag setups. Dragging is defenatly a plus, as well as hittin sides for little kids lol. Hope that helps you a little bit.

Well here is a c/p from a local forum.

alrite, after only driving a bagged truck for like a month, im officially sick of it.... 3 of my 4 bags are leaking, and theyre supposed to be one of the best u can buy, and the cops seem to think they can just pull me over for NOTHING. driving perfectly level, higher then most of the statically dropped trucks around here and the cops almost cause 2 accidents just to turn around and then down a side street to pull me over. then they give me a ticket for not having springs

OK Now my 2 pennies, and of course just for arguments sake. Static drops are easier to install. no bags-tanks-lines-compressors-solenoids. Not gonna blow a bag somewhere and leave ya stranded. condensation in the lines in some colder weather will freeze on ya. Easier to return to stock with a static drop. ummmm lol brain fart lost my train of thought.

well.. the main reason for leaks is not proper install.. he probably has slam specialties which your supposed to seal w/ thread locker or loc tite instead of teflon(sp) tape. Everyone has leaks tho.. well.. except for the hydro guys.

I have to totally agree with mullet on this one. Who doesn't love a nice set of bouncin' knockers. Leaky bags is definatly poor install.

For my 2 cents on the bag vs. static, it goes like this. Bags are the best thing that you can put on your ride to alter the vehicle height. With a good install you can drive it out of the shop and never look back. Smoothe ride, lay frame, front, back, side, side, impress all the ladies, etc. Down side, PRICE! The only other thing that I have noticed is that the temperature affects my valves. I run 3/8 SMC valves and when its colder out they sometimes have a very small leak (about 10 PSI every 1/2 hour). I have been told that there is a diaphram in there that can expand and contract causing a small leak depending on how they seat that particular time. Now static drops, upside PRICE. Downside, shitty ride, swerving for every crack, sewer, cup, pinecone, shoe, dip, dent in the road, fixing your bent up/smashed control arms, blowing out shocks, uneven ride height (sagging leafs, etc), not being able to get in driveways, and I think you get my point. Just my opinion.

i dknow not every bagged truck is like this but i saw a guy in an s-10 on the highway infront of me and when i hit a bump in the road in my static dropped truck it takes the bump hard, and i mean hard cause i have no suspension, so sometimes i even hop on the road if i go fast enough, but the air ride s-10 hit the same bumps and his ass end was swaying around like he was out of control, didnt look too safe to me, it was like he was trying to break the ass loose around a corner but there were no corners......and we were going 120 kph

that was a poor suspension design on that s10

the only differences between static and bags are ride quality, adjustability, cost, and work involved.

Differences....

bags ride better, cost more, let you adjust to your hearts content (within your min/max travel of course), and are harder to install (installer NEEDS a basic knowledge of metal fabrication and more importantly suspension design, the difference in a poor suspension and a properly built suspension is worlds apart as far as safety is concerned)

Static drops are cheap especially on the torsion truck..(approx. $1000 difference depending on the route you choose to drop it) they ride very stiff, have to swerve and dodge even small things in the road, anyone who knows how to use and impact, ratchet and sockets can install a static drop.

Similarities....

Both make the vehicle lower, both end up prematurely ruining things such as balljoints and tires, and both of these make the general public take atleast a second look....

What about sway bars? I think static trucks with proper suspension (Spindles, drop leafs) handle better and dont have as much body roll as a bagged truck that is missing its sway bar. I've had bagged trucks, static trucks and juiced trucks. I think overall for the handling characteristics goes to static, smoothest ride to bags, and the funnest to hydros.

i agree with paul on the body roll.. i mean there are things you can do to limit it.. but when you bag a truck.. don't expect a race car.. cause that joker shouldn't be going over 30mph on a sharp turn. And SierraX.. LMFAO about the pinecone.
