So I did my poll in General Discussion asking whether I should turn my tires so the white stripes are facing out. I've been thinking about doing it for a while, seeing how I've seen it on some other trucks and really like the look.

Well,I flipped 'em yesterday and well...I dunno if I really like it or not.

I also installed my chrome grille yesterday. H4s will be going in once I exchange them for the right ones. I also took that Metalcast anodizing amber paint and sprayed my parking light bulbs with them and so my clears light up amber now, since I can't find that bulb in orange or amber anywhere and it looks kinda cool. Looks better than just white.

So,here are some pics. Let me know your thoughts on the tires. I'm on the fence with them. I don't think my truck really has the 'look' to make them look 'right'. Oh yeah, and I froze my freakin ass off taking these pics. It is freakin freezing. My truck would barely start. Maybe I should give the block heater a try...

So...let me know what to do to make it better! With all the chrome now,I think when I respray the truck this spring,I'll do the whole thing to match the hood. Satin black with chrome front, clear lights and chrome pathys...I think it'll look sick till I get it painted next year.

Ok, here goes... Go with the satin black, but you might want to add chrome tail light trim (have some extras on the shelf) and chrome fender trim for some additional highlights. Also, if you don't have any chrome handles (door/tailgate) do those in satin black also. I definately like the chrome front and the valance markers!.

The paint on the hood is bumper paint. I've heard that Mercedes black trim/bumper paint is the best.

looks good bro, put some 3" white walls and paint her black. that would be sweet. but i think all paint jobs should be black. haha. but really, it is looking good, just clean up the tires and they will look nice.

some chrome mirrors and door handles would look good also

lookin good mikey, need to bleach the white walls, but i'd say it is probably a biotch to keep them clean up there....as has been said, a nice set of chrome door handles, mirrors, & tail lite trims would be nice accent pieces to tie it together.

Looks good mikey, but i'm just not a fan of whitewalls that are thin. Def go with what the guys are sayin, black is where its at and the chrome accents will look great with the pathys. I have some chrome mirrors for sale if your interested to.

cool, paint it another color, grey primer is lookin rugged.

Yeah man,the primer is pretty rough. The entire body needs to be hit with a DA sander, and I have some dents to fix and some surface rust to take care off. Hopefully during the May 24 weekend my buddy and I can prep the truck and spray it. I'm definetly all for the satin black. Oh and don't worry,I'll be getting some pinstriping done on the tailgate and on the hood.

Speaking of that,I saw a Hardbody today on the road, that was flat black, dropped on Pathys and had clear corners and all clear tails and a chrome grille. It looked prettu cool. We both waved. lol

For my Pathy tire situation...I'm going with 205/55/15 performance tires. Most likely Coopers, and they're $110 each.

I'm interested in chrome ringed tails and chrome mirrors. I originally wanted chrome mirrors to replace my elephant ears, but when I was raiding DJ's truck of it's interior,I took the small mirrors off it. As for door handles...I'm leaving them be,because I'm debating to shave and suicide my doors.

Bleach for the white walls eh? I may have to try that. That's as good as they came out after I used some tire cleaner on them. I still think they look like ass on my truck though.

Sierra,is that bumper paint on the hood that Duplicolor bumper coating in a rattle can? I would honestly do the entire truck like that if that's the case.
Thanks for the feedback guys.

they sell westleys bleachwhite or something of that nature at autozone or napa, just a white wall tire cleaner, you can use real bleach, but you have to really dilute it & scrub with an old toothbrush or you will damage your tires...
