I would have aired it up and put it back in my drive way. Cops down there are some serious assholes. I have had police look at my rides and even when I had cids on the road they never harrassed me at all and we drove it all over and did not have a box on it. I think theres more to this than meets the eye. i listened to that cop and he said it was because this guy was a nusiance. I would have reported this cop and got him investigated. There is no way they can just tow your ride away because it was on the ground but if you look there was alot of leaves and crap piled up on his ride. The guy should have had it in his driveway covered up. I dont like being harrassed either but this guy made it worse. JUst my 2 cents.

i agree there is more to it... why not air it up and like you said there were a lot of leaves like it hadnt been moved in a while.. i know in the upper class parts of town around here you cant leave you car on the street more then 24 hours without moving it.. maybe that is the case he had been warned and didnt do anything.. just a thought i dont know of course but im sure there is alot more then this video shows.. not saying this guy is but if your a dick to the cops your going to be treated badly.. when i am pulled over i am nice and most of the time unless the pull me over for speeding i dont get a ticket just explain why the truck is the way it is and the say ok have a nice day.. all on how you treat them as to how they treat you

If. You read the comments below the video it gives a little more of an explanation

^^^^^ what he said... i read thru some of the comments on the video, and this apparently wasnt the first time that that guy had to deal with round rock police... and he apparently has had to deal with the same cop on prior occasions. and tagging the truck with an inoperable sticker just because it "is sitting completely on the ground" and that that means that the truck is inoperable and not drivable is bullshit. the guy states that he's gone down and shown the same officer that the truck in fact does run and drive. if the cop had given me shit several times about my truck just cause it was laid out i wouldnt have aired it up for him either when he went to tow it. could be classified as wrongful impound and you might be able to sue the city for destruction of private property without reasonable cause. my girl even cringed watching them load it up... said if it were her they would have put her in jail cause she would have decked the cop....

and if you watch... they drag his truck thru the leaves next to the curb... it hadnt just been there for months... you can here the cop say its been there over 3 days, but that could have been the guys 3 day weekend for all we know, or he could have been driving it before hand and the cop not have known it moved cause the guy might have parked it back in the same spot...

To me why leave it on the street if you know the cop is going to tag you and honestly I know danm well if any of us had our truck on the street and we can lift it up so it can be moved they would not tow it away. He lives right there and has a drive way put it in the drive way. To me he deserves what he got. If you drive some thing like that and then leave it out come on I would have started it up right there aired it up and put it in my drive way and told the officer to give me the ticket and see you in court. He could not start it and it was there for awhile leaves dont pile up like that over 3 days.
