i was thinking about this any input would be nice..

if your truck has power steering remove it..

do they sell eletric fans for our trucks?? casue taking the belt driven one off would give more juice..

cut out the cat or gut it

take out AC if you have it

i am getting a pacesetter hopefully that helps a bit

thats about all i can think of thats cheap to do..

Start at the tailpipe and work back:

Lower restriction exhaust parts (cat/muffler/diameter pipe)

Hotter ignition (MSD 6A)

Better carb (Weber/etc.)

Ported head

Hotter spark plug

Electric fan instead of clutch fan

Advance the timing

Low restriction air filtration

Don't neglect your brakes either. If you bump your performance, gotta make sure the brakes can keep up!

Braided brake lines

ive got a 93 b2200 FI and with some minor modifications i have done it flys man compared to the way it was stock, and can smoke most of those FWD crap out there

well i have molested my 2.2 l block as much as most people can port and polish 1 mm bored (.0394 metric) weber 38 mm outlaw weber. 12:1 compression (approx) decked the head so much i had to bore into the rock pistons jacobs ice pack ignition honeycomb cat flowmaster pacesetter header and a ton of other little tweaks. and mines still slow as shit so im glad that a few minor mods from your fi is out there smoking fwd crap. with out a turbo or supercharger (ty zito) and some serious other shit you aint going no where i think with a 50 shot you might be able to catch a stock civic but what do i know
mazdab2200=bestimportruck   +1y
well im sorry to say but that sucks for u cause if u accaully did that shit to ur truck it would f***** fly buddy, like what r u comparing it to. oviously if u drive a vette then ur truck will feel like a dog compared to it. but compared to like a civic or a integra of prelude with those mods it should beat them

lol i dont know what your comparing a mazda to but if you want to race your shit youve prob chosen the wrong truck to do it with. and yeah the engine work was all done by sieglers machine shop in hackettstown nj right next to the track. figure if they can make 7 or 8 second cars they can build a little mazda motor. and for the record a mazda truck with a 2.2 l or 2.6 or 2.0 for that matter is not a good choice to drift with lord knows why youd want to drift a mazda but hey lord knows why i spent 40 gs on a 3 g truck but my mazda still cant hang with a prelude or even a civic but if i wanted something fast i would have bought a gtx roadrunner with a 426 hemi in it and saved a few bucks. i just built up the motor to carry the hydros

yah just put u a stock 302 and if you like dress it up some with some chrome and billet acc. the 5.0 is a very good stong motor and will blow the tires off your dawg i think after i do bags and some other stuff i prob gonna end up doing a 5.0 motor swap in my ranger or maybe a v-6 not sure yet
