welcome to the site man. i know that the engines in the probes on our mazdas are very similar. not sure what else needs to be done though. like u said, i have also heard people talk about this, but never really knew anyone who actually did it. hah.

Hey man...

I have what you're tlaking about done on the truck, currently selling actually...

I'm not sure what all went into doing it as I personally didn't build it...

Here is my ad, just so you can see some pics... It's quite a bit of work, to get odne, because you really probably wanna build up the internals etc... :S

There you go man
take it easy

im currently doing it to my truck, and you dont need the probe head, you need the exhaust manifold, the heads internals are a little different, but if you do use the probe head you need to go distributerless, and you'll have to cut a huge hole in your firewall to fit the intake on, i just went out got the FI set up from another truck, mx-6 wiring and ECU, and complete engine(for parts) and be sure to use the mx-6 flywheel and pressure plate, oh and go get a talon blow-off valva, works great on our engines

hey haymaker. if you can give me more info on the turbo that would be great.

well what exactly do you want to know about? if its what turbo im using then for now im just going to run the stock one off a stock f2-t (i think) which is a probe or mx-6, run it at about 7 psi and make sure everything runs properly then boost the crap out of it till its ready to blow up

ok, tell me more. will it work? what all is involved in the "process"? I have a 93 B2600i i plan to "play" with.

the b2000s are FE blocks, you can use the turbos off of old boosted mazda 626's

the b2200s are F2 blocks, you can use heads/turbos off of a probe turbo, or MX6...team haymaker used MX6 stuff

the 2600, not too sure about....some mighty max and old D50's came with 2.6's, not sure if they are the same, may want to look into those

but if you are going to boost your 2.2 or 2.0, i'd convert it to FI first, it'll be hard to get the mixture right with the carb
