timing belt?

ok, first mazda so be easy on me..

what is the black cover on front of the engine? it sounds like something isnt right in there, sounds like a deisel, i pushed on the cover and i can tell somthing is wrong its making a weird sound... its a 89 b2200...dunno what motor lol..

Hmm . you sure its coming from that .. that black thing is where the timing chain is tho . We'll check it out man . hows it run tho ? other wise ? Yea your engine is a 2.2 (4cyl)

it starts right up and doesnt shake or anything, he said he put on a new timing blet/chan so im just guessing he may of done it wrong. after listening to it for a few minutes, you can kinda guess where its at.

how hard are they to do? ill just redo the damn thing so i know its right
