I just put my pathfinders on, drove on them for the first time and I noticed my actual speed changed. I know this is a stupid question but has anyone tried to fix this problem?

you can fix it...you have to get a diff gear for the speedo in the tranny, my friend got his done on a chevy by a transmission shop

what size tires are you running on the pathfinders

they are 195/50

shoot up some pics.

I should've took some pics today while it was sunny I'll take some tomorrow, kinda embarrassed though it's not dropped yet..lol I have like 8 or 9 inches of nasty gap in the back

changing anything in the trans sounds like a pain in the ass.. i'll just hook up my gps it tells me how fast i'm going- then I can get the difference in speed and after that i'll just do it in my head... kinda like setting your alarm clock ahead and having to do the math to figure out what time it really is .... LOL!

good thing about it is, if you see a cop and you think your speeding, your probably not.

Ive been driving around with my speedo not calibrated for about 3-4 years now...lol. I even got pulled over and used that excuse and GOT AWAY WITH IT! lol! But yeah now Im only off by a lil bit with my new tires so I dont even worry about it, but before if i was showing 75 i was doing close to 100 so..lol. I would say its not worth changing ne thing just drive next to your buddy or use the gps liek you said to get an idea.

the only problem is, if your speedo says 75 but your only 50, the truck thinks your going 75, which means if your reving higher and not enough air is getting into the rad, i have this problem, and you'll rack up more k's then usual, i have had my truck like this for years, i could be doin 130kms/h and car are passing me like nothing and the faster i go the more it heats up

I think i'm maybe 10mph off- I know what my engine sounds like at 80mph and now when i'm doing 80 it doesn't sound nearly as revved up - so that's why I think 80 = 70

man my speedometer says zero all the time. Just get a buddy to drive next to you at 60 and check your tach and use that as a measurement
