OK, SO I READ THE STUFF ON THE LINK, VERY INTERESTING

THE TRANNYS I FOUND ARE FROM THE 86-91 RX-7' GSL OR LE. SO THEY HAVE THE 15/16" -22 TOOTH SPLINE SHAFT, SAME AS THE B2200.
NOW FOR THE QUESTION, ARE THE GEAR RATIOS IN 1-3 GEARS THE SAME AS IN THE TRUCK IN THIS YEAR MODEL TRANNY?
HE WAS USING AN 83 MODEL TRANNY, AND IT WAS THE SAME IN GEARS 1-3. AS NOTED 4TH WILL BE 1:1, AND THE FIFTH WILL BE LOWER THAN THE 5TH IN THE TRUCK (FROM .858:1 TO .825:1), THUS GIVING MORE TOP SPEED, AND BETTER FUEL ECONOMY!
IF SO, I COULD TAKE THE BELL HOUSING, AND TAIL SECTION FROM THE TRUCK, AND PUT THESE ON THE CENTER SECTION OF THE RX7'S TRANNY, AND BOLT IT BACK IN THE TRUCK W/O HAVING TO TEAR INTO THE CENTER SECTION OF THE TRANNY (WOULD RATHER NOT). THIS SHOULD BE A DIRECT BOLT IN W/O HAVING TO MESS WITH THE TRANNY SUPPORT OR DRIVE SHAFT?
