CARB PROBLEMS, ANY HELP?

Hey, Im having abit of Carb problems, it seems that when i start my truck when its cold, its Idles really high, until i tap the gas and then the Idle goes down, but when its Idling low, it seems to be abit "boggy" like it wants to stall, i just had my Fuel pump replaced because it died, and could it be because the Carb is tuned high because of the old fuel pump not pumping enough fuel into the carb? and not i have a new fuel pump and the Carb is still high thats why its Idling so high at first? Also when i stand outside the truck near the rear, i listen to the pipes at the end and it kinda goes "bluh bluh" if you know what i mean...If ANYONE can help me on this that would be muchly muchly appreicated!! Im goin' though a ton of gas too!

did you change the fuel
filter when you replaced the pump?

yea...fuel filters fine

my truck is doing the same thing but my carb is going bad. my truck really drinking gas to. is there any black smoke coming from ur tail pipes while the truck is at idle? from what i have heard it's a sign that ur carb is going bad.

Not black, White smoke, i think my Valve rings are bad...Only white smoke when i first start it, and then it goes away after my truck warms up.

there is no problem really mine has been doing it for eight years its just the way the choke is as far as i know. it idles high to get the truck up to temp i just figured it was normal.

White smoke means theres antifreeze leaking threw somewhere maybe u have a cracked head, or blown head gasket, Black smoke is just a sign of the motor running rich!
