ok, i got a 5 speed trans, im pretty sure it takes a little over 2 qaurts to fill... can i stick automatic tranny fluid in there? is it the same? i want to start buttoning up my truck so i can clean up some shit i got laying around...


sorry if im posting too much about different things... i like to know EVERYTHING about the truck im building.

No, dont put auto tranny fluid in it! standard trannys just use gear oil. 90 weight is what you should put in it...

didn't i just tell you 75/90 w GEAR oil ? Damn shit is expensive too . 8 bucks a qt Fuck me . I need to put tranny fluid (gear oil ) in mine as well.

Be careful of putting to heavy of a gear oil weight in the tranny.. because if it gets cold enough in the winters in your area, it can clog up until it warms up which is never fun.
