lol my buddy has decided to give up on his s-10 and his motor is pratically brand new its a stock motor with only 50k miles on it he offered it to me so i instantly when into shock and about pissed myself because im having trouble outta my motor

Some of you might be thinking mazda with a chevy motor is lame but shit damn near brand new motor for free? how can u pass that up

Im getting the motor, tranny, alternator, radiator all the good shit

Im just questioned with do i need all his starting modules and shit?

Yea you will need his computer, the wiring harness, all that good stuff. You will also need his fuel pump, which might be easier to just get the whole tank and mount it in your bed. You might also want to consider that they might have an electric speedo whereas your truck might have a cable. Not really sure of everything specific, but thats all I can think of.

never heard anyone putting a 94 up s10 motor in mazda's but i've heard ppl putting the 4.3 out of the 88-93 s10's tho. The 94's are lil different but better compression and such . Congrats.

Also to make the swap easy y not do a painless wiring kit ??? put a fuel cell in the bed that will accept the s10 sending unit ... That'll work. Atleast in my theory .

might want to take some mesure cause the frame rails on your truck is narrow like little over 19 inches so i really don't think it will work and if you can make the motor fit good luck putting exhaust on it. i was looking at puting a 302 in my 84 but won't fit width wise. just something to check before you buy the engine.

im not buying the engine im getting it for free, so the exhaust isnt a problem i could always make my own, and i can get his fuel pump and fuel cell from him no problem. I was just concerned with all of the wiring issues.
