HERE IS THE LOW DOWN:
A STOCK MOTOR IS 86MM BORE 8.6:1 COMP. RATIO, 85 HP @ 3500 RPM
BLOCK:
BORE & HONE BLOCK FROM 86 MM TO 87MM.
RUNNING A WEISCO OR ROSS PISTON (WHICH EVER COMES WITH THE KIT) 10.5:1 COMP RATIO FLAT TOP PISTON WITH LARGER VALVE RELIEFS TO ACCOMODATE THE LARGER VALVES, AND BIGGER LIFT CAM. THE BOTTOM END KIT IS FROM IMPORT PERFOMANCE PARTS < KIT PART # EKMA12LMPXG (87-93, B2200, 8V SOHC)
THE BLOCK, CRANK, AND STOCK RODS WERE ALL GOOD, SO I AM REUSING THOSE IN THE BOTTOM END. THE CRANK HAS BEEN INDEXED, & RODS ARE BALANCED. THE MACHINE SHOP IS GOING TO BALANCE/BLUEPRINT EVERYTHING TO MAKE SURE ALL IS W/IN TOLERANCES.
HEAD:
RUNNING 1 MM LARGER FERRERA INTAKE (P/N F1832P) & EXHAUST VALVES (P/N F1834P) THESE ARE FOR THE 12V 626 HEAD, SO YOU WILL HAVE TO RUN THE GUIDES OUT OF THE 626 HEAD AS WELL (AE/CLEVITE P/N217-3378), THE VALVES ARE 8MM STEMS, COMPARED TO 7MM FOR OUR TRUCKS, BOTH ARE THE SAME LENGTH. I WILL HAVE TO USE THE STOCK TYPE VALVE SPRINGS,VALVE LOCKS, RETAINERS, AS I CAN'T FIND ANY PERFORMANCE ONES. THE SPRINGS ARE AE/CLEVITE P/N'S 212-1343 (INNER) 212-1344 (OUTER). I DON'T KNOW THE P/N'S FOR THE LOCKS OR RETAINERS OFF OF THE TOP OF MY HEAD. I BOUGHT A 260 DURATION .420 VALVE LIFT CAM FROM FAST FREDDY'S ($338) I SHOULD HAVE JUST WAITED, AND LET THE MACHINE SHOP GRIND THE ONE THAT CAME OUT OF MY TRUCK, WOULD HAVE COST 1/2 THE PRICE. THEY ARE GOING TO DO A 3 ANGLE VALVE JOB AND LAPP THE VALVES ALSO (FOR GOOD SEATING) AND A LITTLE PORTING AND POLISHING TO MATCH THE INTAKE MANAFOLD, EXHAUST HEADER.
INTAKE:
RUNNING A WEBER REDLINE K675-38 KIT (38MM OUTLAW) W/ A WEBER SNORKEL KIT # 99010-357, THIS IS FOR RUNNING A SNORKEL KIT ON A JEEP, BUT WILL SUIT MY NEEDS FOR A COLD AIR KIT. IT HAS AN ADAPTER PLATE FOR THE TOP OF THE CARB SO I CAN MOUNT THE SNORKEL HAT ON THE CARB, THEN USE THE PLASTIC PIECE OFF OF THE STOCK AIR CLEANER WITH A K&N CONE AIR FILTER P/N RC-2550 OR RC2500, AND POOF!!

JAZ PROSTREET FUEL CELL, AEROMOTIVE FUEL PUMP, FILTERS, AND BYPASS REGULATOR.
IGNITION:
ACCELL +300 IGNITION SETUP
DRIVE LINE:
CENTERFORCE DUAL FRICTION CLUTCH, PRESSURE PLATE, THROWOUT BEARING FIDANZA 9.5 LB ALUMINUM FLYWHEEL W/ REPLACEABLE STEEL FRICTION SURFACE. THE STOCK FLYWHEEL IS 29 LBS W/O THE CLUTCH & FLYWHEEL. THE NEW SETUP CENTERFORCE / FIDANZA TOGETHER WEIGH =/< THE STOCK FLYWHEEL. THIS WILL ALLOW THE ENGINE TO WIND UP FASTER.
COOLING:
STOCK RADIATOR FOR A B2200 AUTOMATIC THESE ARE 2-ROW COMPARED TO A 1-ROW FOR THE MANUAL AND ARE DIRECT SWAP, BETTER COOLING!
USING A FLEX-A-LITE 10" DUAL FAN SETUP WITH THERMOSTAT CONTROLS,
AND A 185 DEG. THERMOSTAT ON THE MOTOR AND SET THE FANS AT 180 DEG. DURING THE SUMMER, 190 DEG DURING THE WINTER.
AFTER THE MOTOR IS TEST FIT IN ABOUT A MONTH, I AM GOING TO CARRY IT TO N. CAROLINA TO BE CRYO TREATED, THIS WILL MAKE EVERYTHING STRONGER, AND LAST LONGER. I FIGURE FOR $450 THAT IS INSURANCE FOR WHAT I AM PUTTING INTO THE MOTOR, I GOT 159,000 MI ORIGINALLY SO IF THE MACHINE SHOP DOES RIGHT, AND THE CRYO WORKS IF I DON'T DOGG THE PISS OUT OF IT, IT OUGHT TO LAST 300,000 MI OR MORE.
THE MR GASKET DYNO PROGRAM SAYS THAT IT SHOULD PUT OUT 193 HP AT THE FLY WHEEL, - 15% = 160 HP AT THE REAR WHEELS RUNNING NATURALLY ASPIRATED! THE MACHINE SHOP THINKS 220 HP, WELL SEE...
