Here's the info. I drove the truck about 3-4 weeks ago. Parked it until now. Was running fine when parked. I tried to crank it but it would just turn over, I took the ecu out..everything looked fine. I called Av-Pro, they do not repair these particular ecu's. I checked the coil and plugs (old fashion way, by grounding it to the truck) no spark at either. I replaced the coil with a new one.

I am getting 12v at the distributor with ignition on. I am getting 12v at the distributor side of the coil wire until I turn the engine over then my voltage drops to 8-9v. Plugs, wires, cap, and button look fine.

Would this be likely of a bad distributor? Or something else?

I don't want to put much more money in this thing..(ie..new distributor) and it not solve my problem.

Any suggestion on what I could check or replace?

Thanks for the replies. I removed the ECU and was looking for a clone truck to test it in. I recieved an E-mail from ECMtogo saying that this ECU does not have the capacitor leakage as ones from a later date.

I reinstalled the ECU and I had time to check out other things. I had an old spark plug that I grounded on the #1 wire to the engine. I turned the engine over to see if there was a spark and the damn thing started.

The only thing I could figure was there was not a very good connection somewhere around the ECU.

Now I am having a stall in the engine at various RPM's. Its not a consistent miss as if with a ground spark plug wire. It's more of a complete shut off, but only for a fraction of a second. In fact the engine still is running after these incindents. Any suggestions on what thiis could be?
