yup, the one off of the exhaust manafold is what got stopped up on mine and caused the head gasket to go. the other under the cab was stopped up when the guy at the exhaust shop put the new exhaust on.

shit. that sucks, thats y im soooo quite then, ok well tell me this, can it be removed and replaced with pipe without takin the manifold off? thanks - fan

yes

most people just knock the catalyst out and leave the chamber there, but I think that sounds terrible.

Taking the exhaust apart though, thats only slightly more fun than an enthusiastic rectal exam from a pinapple handed sadist. If there is any bolt heads left, you'll round them over pretty easy before you get them loose.

fanninator,

GO TO AUTO ZONE GET SOME PB'S BLASTER PENETRATING FLUID, HOSE DOWN THE BOLTS & NUTS THAT ATTACH THE CAT TO THE MANAFOLE, AND EXHAUST PIPE, LET IT SOAK IN, THEN THEY SHOULD BREAK LOOSE. YOU WILL HAVE TO FORM UP A NEW PIECE OF PIPE FROM THE MANAFOLE TO THE EXHAUST PIPE, AND WILL HAVE TO CUT THE FIRST PIECE OF THE EXHAUST PIPE OFF, THERE ARE TWO HOLES THAT ARE FOR THE EGR SYSTEM, IF YOU JUST BOLT TO THE EXHAUST PIPE IT WOULD LEAVE THEM OPEN, CAUSING AN EXHAUST LEAK.
