alot of mazda b2000, b2200, b2600, mazda mx-6 and early ford porbes have cracked heads, the only reason why is because at one time someone drove the vehicle when it was real hot at each of them have aluminum head's that crack when they gets to hot...

THE B2000-B2200'S HAVE A HISTORY OF BAD VALVE SEALS, GUIDES AND PISTON RINGS, AS WELL AS HEAD GASKETS GOING BAD OR LEAKING. OIL IN THE HEAD POOLS UP IN SPOTS, AND NOT ENOUGH IN OTHERS CAUSING EXCESSIVE WEAR ON THE VALVE TRAIN.

A GOOD PLACE TO READ ABOUT THIS IS:

.

AS FAR AS THE B2600'S I HAVE HEARD THAT THEY ARE PRONE TO HEAD CRACKING, AND THE ECU'S GOING BAD. ANY MOTOR WITH AN ALUMINUM HEAD HAS THE POTENTIAL TO CRACK/WARP IF OVER HEATED, JUST KEEP A CLOSE EYE ON THE TEMP GUAGE, AND IF SOMETHING SEEMS OUT OF KILTER, PULL OVER AND LET IT COOL OFF, OR YOU WILL END UP WITH ONE OF THESE TWO PROBLEMS.

My '84 2.0 runs perfect with just a minor oil leak. It has almost 200,000 miles on it.

i have a 90 b2200 and i just rebuilt the motor valve seals were bad so it smoked real bad but since i rebuilt it it runs great but it has some power loss it only had 178.999 miles on it but that motor stock only pushes 85 hp stock. i also did a 40 over bore and everything is brand new
