I recently aquired a 87 B2200, not much know about its history. When cold starting the motor, you have to give it full throttle for it to start up. It runs at about 500rpm and letting go of the throttle any, kills it. After about 15-20 minutes of bearly staying running, it will start to slowly rev itself up, then either A] run and idle fine or B] fluxuate idle, eventually killing itself. Then when driving, anything more than say 1/3 throttle will make it bog out, fall over itself. Runs fine as long as your giving it little throttle. Replaced the fuel pump/filter, O2 sensor, & plugs. Ive been told I should replace the cap, rotor, plug wires, etc. Any input on this problem would be GREATLY appriciated.

Thanks All
Corey

sounds like you have carb problems to tell you the truth..mine does the same i have a 90' b22 and it dies once i cold start it have tot always keep adjusting the idle then when its warmed up its reving to high...So thats what i would suggest you to be looking into for the problem..your carb and/or vaccum lines...Good luck with it tho because the way i solved that prob was replaced my carb with a Holley but another stock would be fine...Tell me how it goes tho

Cap and Rotor will set you back about 15 to 20 bux USD.. so thats not that big of a deal. I would take the carb off the intake, and split it into the two sections.. might take a little force or a chizzel.. but be gintle. And throughly clean out the jets and bowls w/ carb cleaner and q-tips. If it continues.. check the oily lump of vacume lines and make sure you dont have a vacume leak.. i would start w/ the dizzy vacume line going to the carb.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS ALL! Anyway, thx for the replys, tomorrow I will try to take off the carb {after spending 2hrs labeling vac lines} and see about cleanin it out. If that ends up being no help, I guess the truck will sit till I can afford a holley/webber. If anyone has a used one, please let me know.
Also looking for a 87 B2200 front clip for it.
