the only way i know to get the torque rating for a motor is on a dyno.....
you could get a computer dyno program and put the specs your motor is
built to, and it could give you a general idea.

pancaked - i know you can throw your car or truck on a dyno and measure the hp and torque, and there's a formula for figuring hp if you know torque and rpm. i was wondering if anyone knew of a way other than dyno to find torque.
BHP=torque x RPM divided by 5252
I guess that can say if you know your RPM and brake hp then you can find your torque by doing the calculation...
but back to the origonal post, just curious if anyone knows how to find torque w/o a dyno?

Torque =
HP
× 5,252
÷ RPM

i think thats what your looking for
