Couple of questions

First I was wondering if you install a weber carb in California, would you still be able to pass an emessions test? Then I was looking at parts and saw some pistons that said they were .50 over. I was wondering how it affects performance? Thanks.

ive never heard of .050 over pistons only .040 over it does about nothing man i have .040s in my truck and i didnt notice anything if i look hard i think i can find 17.010 timeslips from the time i took it to the track. want fast swap a rotary or sbc even the only supercharged mazda was just for show and slow as hell

does it ruin the fuel milage if a weber is put on??or just the emmisions...

idk what i had before but w/ an auto tranny and delivering pizzas i average 23-24mpg and i have a tickin motor. and just over 100k miles.

Thanks I think I might still get one and just have a hell of time swapping back and forth every 2 years. But for the pistons when I was looking there were some ther were .75 over also.

if you run a weber 32/36 and it is tuned properly, and are running a cat on the exhaust, you might be able to pass an inspection, but w/ a 38 your just putting too much gas to pass inspection.

oh, and if you want more power, you'll have to increase the comp ratio on the pistons by shaving the head or getting custom pistons.

Thanks NYTRDR24. I might still get a 38 if its not that hard for me to have to swap parts back and forth every 2 years. Does anybody know if it would be easy or difficult to put the the vac system back in. I of course know it will be a bitch cause of the all the hoses.

some of the stuff you won't be able to hook back up, i would suggest trying to keep the charcole canister, this will help w/ the emisions prob. do you still have the 3 recirc hoses hooked up from the exhaust?
