Hey,
So i got an MX-6 Turbo Enigne a while ago and decided i am not up to the work or have the skills or funds to complete this swap...i want to trade this setup for a weber.....this is my question...what are the advantages to the weber carb.? ebtter fuel mileage, horsepower, etc.....and how hard are they to instal?? is it just like a basic carb??thnx guys...L888888r

IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW THE MOTOR IS BUILT AS TO THE FUEL ECONOMY, & HP. AS FAR AS HOW HARD TO INSTALL, NOT NEAR AS HARD AS THE INSTALL ON YOUR TURBO SETUP, THE ARE PRETTY TUNEABLE, YOU CAN GET A JET KIT FOR THE 32/36 & 38, SO IF THE ONES FROM THE FACTORY ARE TOO BIG OR SMALL, YOU CAN SWAP THEM OUT TO GET IT TUNED. TO INSTALL JUST MARK ANY VACCUM LINES, PULL THE OLD CARB, INSTALL THE ADAPTER PLATE, CARB, & LINKAGE, REHOOKUP VACCUM & FUEL LINES, AND YOU SHOULD BE GOOD TO GO. MAIN THING IS TO MARK THE VACCUM LINES IF YOU WISH TO REUSE THEM OTHER WISE HOOKING THEM BACK UP CAN BE A NIGHTMARE.

HOPE THIS ANSWERS YOUR Q'S

thnx man that helps....now what abotu the difference between the holley and the weber?? and would it hurt alot if i didnt use the vacum lines??

should only need to hook up one vac line, thats all i hooked up on my weber 38, and this was by far the easiest thing I have done!!! for the holley I believe they dont have an adapter plate avail so you would have to make one.

you say you hooked up one...do you noe which one it was??lol cuz a the moment i have all that stuff pulled out..lol...
anyone have pics??

THE ONLY VAC. LINE YOU HAVE TO HOOK UP IS THE ONE OFF THE DIZZY. YOU ALSO HAVE TO HOOK UP THE LINE FOR THE BRAKE BOOSTER, OTHER THAN THAT JUST THE FUEL LINE. YOU CAN KEEP MOST OF THE REST OF THE VAC LINES AND EGR STUFF, BUT I'M NOT SURE ON HOW TO HOOK IT UP. THEY DON'T MAKE AN ADAPTER FOR THE HOLLEY, THO THEY DO MAKE A AIR RAID CARB SPACER, WHICH MIGHT BE ABLE TO BE MODIFIED TO WORK....

the one off the dizzy is the only one I have for vac lines then like NYTRDR24 said the brake booster and the fuel line are it. You can take the other stuff out. Other stuff I mean the canister, the high elevation thing just make sure you plug up your old vac line holes in the intake.

ok kool...now dont the weber and the holley just a have a filter, to keep things clean, liek they dont have the big intake reaching across the truck...does anyone have pics??

the weber kit (32/36 & 38 ) comes w/ a small rectangle k&n filter that mounts on top of the carb (mullet had posted a pic of one in his truck), i am going to have a home made cold air intake on my weber 38,
go to my gallery and check out the image, i am relocating my battery to under the bed so the just imagine that going to where the battery used to
sit w/ a k&n round tapered filter on the end. i posted how to make it in the engine forum>got weber....want cold air?
