Allright.. when i got the truck, the motor was running a little weird. i'd have to keep my foot on the gas to get it to idle.. So i put new gas in it (the gas that was in the tank was over a year old) a bottle of dry-gas, and some carb cleaner.. it started up, and ran great.. Then i noticed a coolant leak.. changed teh water pump.. that solved it.. no more coolant leak.. I started the engine up, and it was running reall ruff.. i think maybe the timing may be off.. Maybe the truck rolled a little bit or something.. i think i juiced it up while the timing belt was off. so the crankshaft could have rotated a little if it was in gear..

But it was running real rough. and idled at 1100-1200rpms. if i hit the gas, and brought it up to like 2k, and took my foot off the gas, it would drop down to like 500rpms and sputter a bit and die out. It would idle between 1000-1500ish rpms. But anything over, it would sputter, if i hit the gas, it would fire back up tho.. So i finally just let it die out, and now it wont even start.. its just turning, but no firing.. im gonna let it sit, maybe i flooded it or something.. but im gonna take it apart again, to check the timing belt. Does anyone have a diagram of how to line up the timing marks and stuff?

ya i figured it out.. i went to autozone.com, and they have free data sheets on thieir site, and i figured it out. The cam and crankshaft were a good 20-30 degrees off. i turned the crankshaft with the timing belt still on, until the marker on the lower timing gear lined up wiht hte marker on the block, and then checked to make sure it was at tdc, pulled off the timing belt, and turned the cam gear until the A lined up with the arrow on the block. threw the belt back on and it fired right up.. And i just had to adjust the distributor a little bit to get it to idle smoother.. But its good now.. no more coolant leaks, no more idle issues.. its good to go..

that is your choke jus adjust ur idle or air fuel when u tap ur gas u turn off ur choke so jus raise ur idle and tkae it for a spin and rip on it to get the shit out of the carb so it can idle low
