yes, with a manual choke its called a 32/36/dgv or 38dgs, if you want no choke at all, you can just pull the choke butterflies.
d= downdraught
g= is the side the throttle linkage is on, if it were dfev the carb would be a mirror image with the linkage on the other side. This is what the holley 5200 was based on, the dfev carb, and thats why people have to make throttle linkage to work with them.
e= electric choke. an "a" here is for "agua" or water choke, no letter in this position indicates a manual choke.
v= variable or some italian word for variable that starts with a v, its a progressive carb that opens one barrel first, then the next. an "s" here means syncronous, both barrels open at the same time. this is where the numbers come in, 32/26 means 32mm primary. 36 mm secondary. the 38dges means two syncronous 38mm barrels.
A 32/36 is easier to tune on a stock motor. Syncronous carbs have great off idle response, but aren't really needed if all you have is a header. You will be detuning the 38dges to work properly. And you may not lose any mileage over the stock carb with the 38dges, but you will gain some with a dgev. Something to consider.
