I have searched and confused myself a little more than when I started. I looked at summit and all the headers say for b2200. When I searched the forum it sayed you put a b2200 head on a b2000. I am replacing my headgasket right now and I wanted to put a weber carb on it. I also wanted to put a header on it to get rid of all the stupid emissions stuff. Will I have to swap on a B2200 head to fit the header on or will a header fit onto the B2000 head?

The only header I could find was a pacesetter.

Thanks for the help,
sorry if this is a stupid question,
Mike

Forgot to add I have a 87 B2000

the heads are the same casting, between B2000 and B2200. So a header for a B2200 will bolt right to a B2000 head. (assuming it is an 86-87 B2000, the earlier body style used a timing chain and the exhaust was on the passenger side)

So use it!

the only thing about the deaders is wether you have a auto or a stick shift i dont think the headers work with autos

Yep I have a Manual. I am sort of worried though about the emmissions. Does anyone in Washington State have a weber carb and a pacesetter header and still pass emmisions?

If people can pass emmisions with this stuff than I will buy the header and carb kit. I get paid on the 10th and I have a VW bug for sale, so hopefully I can get the truck running soon.

thanks,
Mike

i live in pa and we have emmisions but if you have a vehicle older than 94 or you put less than 500 miles on it a year you are exemot, see if thats the same for your state, then just go get an instrument cluster at the junkyard, and use that when you go to get emmisons, just put a hundred or so miles on it then swap it out

here in Washington we have to get emmisions no matter how many miles are put a year, as far as I understand it, but if your vehichle is older than 20 or 25 years old it is exempt. So I either have 1 year or 6 years to go.
but thanks for the info,
Mike

They're exempt after 25 years old here. And I was wondering the same, if you can still pass emissions here with a weber or a weber and header?
