Id say a Magnaflow. Sounded better than anything else I tried on mine back when I had room. How are you guys with bags running anything but a glasspack right behind the cab? I just dont care to spend the extra money to get a pipe bent over my axle so I stick with the only option I can think of which is my glasspack welded right behind the cab and no pipe on the exit.

I had a maganflow but it "popped" too much so I got a flowmaster 60 series sounded real nice. I also was running 2.25 exhaust wit h a header so that probably contributed to the popping

i have never seen a mazda with a stock 2.4...

-pre 86 had 2.0 and smaller
-86-93 had 2.0, 2.2 and 2.6
-94-97(?) had 2.3, 3.0 (i think they had 3.0's) and 4.0

i personally have the stock pipe that gets bigger and bigger up untill the muffler (2 1/4") then it has a turndown that is 2 1/2".
so it goes stock diameter - 2 1/4" muffler - dump 2 1/2" right before the rear axle...my muffler isa thrush turbo II. i must say it dont sound that bad but i have heard better. it does look perdy mean tho...ill find a pic of it. - bf
