The gauges are probably the sending units gone bad.

it may not be the sending units. my fuel gauge and temp gauge went out too and i changed the sending units and still got nothing, so then i changed out the gauges and they worked for about 15 minutes and they went out again. i think i might have a short somewhere. haven't figured it out yet. somthin to think about before you start spending big bucks.

so how much is a sending unit anyways

the temp sending unit is cheap but the fuel sending unit if i remember right was like 200 or 250 from mazda. i will try to find the receipt and let you know.

Re heater not working is fan not blowing hot air or is there no hot air coming from heater? Fan is fused check it first. Any evidence of coolant leakinside cab? Heater core may be bad, pretty easy to find in junk yards. If temp gauge isnt working I guess you dont know if truck is reaching operating temp or not but may need new thermostat and coolant change. Hope this helps. BJ
