i was curious i just bought another b2200 and the motor is shot, i found a good running 2.0 out a b2000 i was just wondering if there was a big hp difference between the two engines, cause i know there is not much power to begin w/ on the 2.2l??

Ask Mark if he noticed a big power loss.
He is now running a 2.0 liter with a Holley in his 92 B2200 truck.

I have a 2.0 in my 2200 and I couldn't tell much of a difference other that the 2.0 doesn't smoke like my old 2.2 did. Either way neither of them make much power.

i have heard however that if you put a 2.0 head on a 2.2 it'll give more hp, simply because of increased compression. i don't know for sure, as i've never tried.

nope there the same head nothing is differnt from them if my 2.0 did not smoke i would drop it in my 2200 it smokes alittle to

nytrdr24   +1y
85-87 b2000 1998 cc, 86 mm bore, 86 mm stroke

the deck hight on the 2200 is taller allowing for the longer stroke
