anyone swap a 302 into a stock 4x4. I just want to know if it would fit with the front IRS or if it would have to be swapped for a solid axle. I am not sure that I want to swap for an axle.

I want to use a toyota 5-speed and Transfer case bolted up to a 302 HO fuel injected. I wont be doing any hardcore off road and will only be running 31" tires, so I think the toy tranny will be fine.

Do you think the 302 with fit above the IFS 4x4 suspension, do you think it would need a body lift to fit it better? any other suggestions?
thanks,
Mike

I think you'll be fine. Ultimate customs makes a kit for the 4x2, and the 4x4 has more room due to the dropped suspension (raised frame, depending on how you look at it).

Well, for b2000/b2200s anyway. You could use the motor mounts, but I don't think you'd need their cross member.
