Hey guys, i'm deciding whether i want to do as the title says, i can get a 305 and turbo 350 tranny for cheap...i was told that that i could change the gears in my rear end and have the rear end hold up to the 305, is that possible? I was also told that there's a adapter plate to run our tranny (mazda) to a chevy motor, but how would that work? gear ratios, etc...also turbo 350 tranny,e tc....i need some information here gear heads!! Thanks!!

Hello.
The stock Mazda gears will have no problem with the 305. If you want a different ratio, there are a variety of gears that will interchange.
I don't know about any transmission adapters. Probably be easiest to use a chevy trans and then just get a driveshaft made. Don't bother with a 3 speed, get a 4 speed if you can swing it. Otherwise, you'll be running ~4000 rpm on the freeway.
