Turbo motor and trans options?

I know I asked about a v8, but I definitely am more of a turbo guy. My day job is at a SAAB dealer, so getting turbo pieces would be pretty simple.

My question is what motor swaps or just turbo applications are there that could bolt into a 87 B2000? Is there any that would mate up with little or no modification? How well do they take high amounts of boost?

I have seen 2. An 88 b2200 with a 1987 Merkur turbo and a 5 spd M-9 tranny.Modded to the hilt. I have also seen a 88 2200 with a Volvob230t and Volvo automatic.Also modded to the hilt.Apparently both fit very nicely in the Mazda engine bay. bj

Take the head off an FI b2200 and use the computer, exhause manifold and turbo from an mx-6 turbo

did they use t3/t4 turbos? my buddy has a hybrid t3/t4 that's dying to be used
what kind of boost can these engines hold?
