Was looking at my engine today to charge my AC and noticed I had oil coming from the right side of the firewall and it had actually blew up the right side of the firewall and right inner wheel well. So I was just wondering if anyone had an idea maybe where it was coming from?

Is the oil leaking out from there or has it been blown out onto the firewall and its just dripping and looks like its from the firewall. Is it on the right side looking at the engine bay or is it the right side (passenger side)? If its on the passenger side its possible that something happened with your oil filter. and it blew oil all over the firewall and fender.

If ur A/C needed charging up was the A/C compressor blowing oil from its seals onto ur firewall and wheel well?My A/C is on the drivers side of the engine. Where is ur's?Also does ur truck have power steering? UR power steering box and lines are also on the drivers side. Is it leaking P/S fluid? BJ

yes the passenger side of the truck. My ac is on the drivers side and yes i got power steering but its oil not power steering fluid

Only things I can think of on the passenger side that would sling oil on the firewall and fender well are a leaking rear crankshaft seal, a leaking valve cover gasket and as has been posted above a leaking oil filter or oil filter gasket. Is there any oil on the underside of ur hood? That would indicate the fan is picking it up and slinging it around. BJ

Well the tube on the valve cover is pushing oil into my air box and filling it and the oil then runs some how out the underneath of the box and splatters on the firewall but why is the oil being pushed in there and now my truck overheats is this all the same prob?

UR having oil being pushed up into the crankcase vent tube, thru the PCV valve and into the air cleaner?Damn, man what kind of oil pump pressure r u running??OK. Something is bad wrong here.It sounds like ur oil seals on ur valves are bad and ur getting what is called "blow-by" where oil is blowing by ur seals and up into the valve cover, thru the vent and into the air cleaner and then onto the firewall.Just a guess based on what u have said.Replace seals and see what happens.BJ

Do you have to much oil in your engine??????

I have to add a quart a week but it started overheating for some reason and been sitting for about three weeks

Check and see if you have anti-freeze in your oil. Sound like a head gasket problem.
